Javea can loosely be divided into 3 district areas. With its ancient centre, the charming old town (pueblo) is defiantly worth a visit. Stroll through the old town with its historic buildings, narrow streets and imposing Gothic San Bartolome church. Discover the great indoor market, with stalls selling fresh food. The lively port (puerto) is a traditional fishing port mixed with nautical leisure facilities. From the Port of Javea, the famous island of Ibiza is only 67 nautical miles away. Arenal beach is set within a shell shaped bay and clear, shallow waters lap its shore. Playa de Arenal is Javea’s main beach and offers a beautiful sandy beach with palm trees and a large promenade.
